Hey, brilliant author.

Let’s work together!

What Do Writing Coaches Do?

As a book coach, I draw on my past experiences as an executive editor in publishing and a creative writing teacher at the university level. I give professional advice, brainstorm with you, and encourage you on your writing journey. My writing coaching can include helping you with issues like:

It’s been a while—how do I get back into writing again?

I have so many book ideas. Which one should I write first?

I’m stuck on an issue in current project. Can we brainstorm solutions?

Should I self-publish or try the traditional publishing route?

Can I get some feedback on my story idea, title, query letter, synopsis, product description, or cover design?

I’m feeling down about my writing. Can we talk it out?

But those are only a few examples of what I can address as a book writing coach! All services are private and confidential.

My Author Coach Credentials

Bryn Donovan is a pen name for Stacey Donovan. My experience includes being an executive editor in publishing and being the author of several novels (including Sunrise Cabin, a Publishers Weekly bestseller), ten children’s books, and nonfiction books, including Master Lists for Writers and 5,000 Writing Prompts. I developed the story treatments for two Hallmark Channel movies, and I’ve published in Writer’s Digest, McSweeney’s, and many literary journals, including Ploughshares, The Antioch Review, and North American Review. I blog about writing and positivity at BrynDonovan.com. As a top writing coach, I’m dedicated to helping you pursue your goals.

Writing Coach Rates: $50/Hour

Some writing coaches, including those with less breadth of experience, try to lock hopeful writers into months-long programs that cost thousands and thousands of dollars! I want you to be sure this is a good author-mentor match, and I want you to have complete flexibility so you don’t pay for more than you need.

When you book an appointment, I’ll send you a Zoom invite, but you can let me know if you prefer a phone call. If you cancel more than 24 hours before an appointment, your money will be refunded, but refunds aren’t issued for late cancellations or no-shows.

I’d love to work with you!
